The team

We are a team of ten hydrogeologists specialising in groundwater resource development and protection. One area of current expansion is in geothermal systems consulting, where we currently have a number of projects assessing the sustainability and impacts of ground source heating and cooling systems.

In addition, a key part of our work is the installation and management of groundwater supplies, particularly for the bottled water industry, but also for a wide variety of other water users. We are involved in a range of hydrogeological work, specialising in groundwater management, water engineering, groundwater chemistry and water treatment, focusing on ‘clean water’ rather than ‘contaminant’ hydrogeology.

This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with substantial experience in groundwater consultancy. The core area of work will be within the geothermal team. This is a senior appointment reporting directly to the Water & Environment Director. The applicant will be MSc qualified in Hydrogeology or a similar subject with around 5-10 years experience. Duties will include:

  • Project and financial management of a range of projects
  • Business development
  • Managing project teams and mentoring graduates
  • Direct client liaison and contractor supervising
  • Based in Bath, there will be regular travel within the UK and overseas.

The ideal candidate

Applicants should demonstrate most, if not all, of the following attributes:

  • MSc qualified in Hydrogeology or similar subject
  • At least 5-10 years’ experience in a commercial environment
  • Business development experience
  • Experience in groundwater modelling
  • Experience in direct client liaison and contractor supervision
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Need to demonstrate a mature and confident outlook
  • Excellent communicator
  • Willing to undertake regular field work and travel
  • Current driving licence

The company provides the following benefits:

  1. Significant relocation package
  2. Sign on bonus
