Background and Opportunity:

ZZenith International has acquired the business of Vale Water Services Ltd, the specialist consultant to the international drinks industry founded on the world-class expertise of Mike Carney. This leads to an unusual and exciting opportunity for a water treatment professional to join Zenith in a new role as Project Engineer of Zenith Vale Water.

The Role:

The Manager of Zenith Vale will oversee the three elements of a successful outcome:
with Mike Carney, sales and marketing to develop the business beyond its current scope,
skills transfer from Mike Carney,             and
a progressive assumption of responsibility for projects

The objective over a two year period is to achieve a successful business unit with junior staff and Mike Carney in a role as provider advice on a consultancy basis.  The current scope of Vale Water Services activities can be found on the web site www.valewater.com

The Manager will report to Duncan Finlayson, founder director of the technical and operational consulting activities within Zenith. 

 

The Person:

• An engineering graduate with a second degree in some aspect of water and wastewater treatment.
• Chartered Engineer, probably IChemE.
• Minimum seven years’ experience in the technology of water and wastewater treatment, gained at least partially in industry.
• A professionally gifted individual who is known as or has the potential to become a recognised expert in the field.
• A track record in handling projects and client relationships.
• Innovative in applying technological and professional skills so as to provide workable solutions.
• Extremely motivated individual, able to take responsibility for business development and project execution.
• Overseas experience an advantage.
• Highly numerate with exceptional skills in problem solving.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Resourceful, energetic and friendly team player.

 

The Conditions:

This is a permanent full time position based in the Bath office.  The role will involve international travel.

The company provides health cover after 12 months’ service and operates a sick pay scheme. Holiday entitlement is 20 days a year increasing by one day per full year up to a maximum of 25, with an additional 3 days at Christmas. A stakeholder pension scheme is offered to all permanent employees.

The notice period will be one month on either side for the first three months, and thereafter three months on either side. A letter of appointment will cover any probation period, salary reviews and career development expectations.
