Water recycling and reduction
Lowering your water use and reduce your cost
Remember the three R’s? Water used in beverage manufacturing processes that is normally discharged from the site either as trade effluent into a municipal sewer or treated and disposed into a local water course can be reduced, reused or recycled. The costs of disposal, in the UK, are defined by the Mogden formula and often results in significant charges. So reducing water use has a direct impact on cost where these charges apply.
Zenith’s expertise in this area covers developing plans for water reduction, from basic steps such as monitoring water use and improving employee awareness of water use, through more complex situations where water can be taken from one process and used directly in the next process without any treatment.
We can also design new systems to treat water from the process and return this back into the front end of a plant thereby reducing the demand on the incoming supply.
