Global Bottled Water Congress
1 - 3 November 2010, Gleneagles, Scotland
This year's theme, Healthier environment, aims to highlight the challenges and opportunities which exist in developing and maintaining a more sustainable bottled water industry. This applies to communicating benefits, addressing concerns over the environment, responding to the media and reassuring consumers, as well as innovating effectively and ensuring profitable growth.
Now in its 7th year, the Congress is designed for industry leaders, suppliers, customers and analysts to gain a complete overview of the latest trends and thinking across all continents from top companies in each region, with extensive time for informal contact and discussion.
This year the UK Bottled Water Industry Conference will be held immediately afterwards. Delegates attending both events will benefit from discounts on full congress bookings.

The Highland Spring Group is the United Kingdom's largest supplier of bottled water, employing over 400 staff. Bottling up to 350 million litres, the group produces brands including Highland Spring, Speyside Glenlivet, Gleneagles and Green Valley. It also produces private label waters for some of the UK's major supermarkets and foodservice retailers. The company oversees five rural production plants and was the first UK bottled water company to be awarded organic status for its land in the Ochil Hills in Perthshire in 2001. One of Europe's most modern plants, the Blackford site has four state of the art bottling lines for glass, PET and multipacks across a range of still and sparkling sizes. The tour will include an introduction to Highland Spring's pioneering management information system. Delegates will then be taken to visit the nearby Tullibardine distillery, including a malt whisky tasting. Located on the site of Scotland's oldest brewery dating back to the 12th century, Tullibardine was developed as a traditional distiller in 1949. |

About the venue
United Kingdom bottled water consumption has grown rapidly to more than 2,000 million litres in 2009 and the market is now one of the world's top ten by value. A relatively high proportion of 22% is imported. Sales dipped in the past two years but started to regain momentum in 2009.
Scotland, part of the United Kingdom, was once dominated by heavy industry but financial services and tourism now contribute most to the country's economy, with the capital city of Edinburgh counted as one of Europe's largest financial centres.
The Gleneagles Hotel is renowned as one of the best Five Star resorts in the world and hosted the 2005 G8 summit. Set in 850 acres of breathtaking Perthshire countryside at the foot of the Highlands, the hotel is home to three top Scottish Championship golf courses. The hotel also offers guests a luxury gym and spa, two swimming pools and four restaurants including the two Michelin-starred Andrew Fairlie @ Gleneagles.
Gleneagles is on the main London to Inverness railway line and under one hour's drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow international airports.
