Zenith's 2007 Drinks Biopackaging report is based on detailed research into the opportunities and threats facing the underdeveloped yet emerging use of bioplastics for the beverage industry. Zenith's outline findings are that:

  • In order to implement a shift towards biodegradable packaging, the global beverage industry requires the support of government and municipal bodies at a country-by-country level.
  • A reduction in sales tax on drinks biopackaging would help present economies of scale for what remains an embryonic industry.
