Crisis Alliance™

 

Crisis Alliance™ is built on experience gained over many years, helping beverage companies deal with a crisis and its aftermath. We have seen how anticipation and preparation can prevent situations turning into a crisis, or reduce its severity. We have noted how the first few hours of response can set the course for a successful outcome.

Crisis Alliance™ has two components:

  • The Fitness Test:
  • an examination of risk management systems including source protection, HACCP, quality system, supplier audits, recall plan, Crisis Management Procedure, security and insurance cover. Followed by a senior management seminar and a concise Actions report.
  • Crisis Alert!:
  • an annual retainer which provides 24/7 Crisis Line, monitoring of Actions, simulation training and access to Zenith's crisis response.

Crisis Response

 

Not all services are appropriate to all clients. For example, larger companies will use their own public relations consultants. With Crisis Alliance™ clients we will already have discussed their needs and created an appropriate customised procedure.

During a Crisis:

  • technical investigation. Our expert team get to the root of a problem quickly through experience and specialist knowledge of soft drinks and bottled water incidents. Their expertise covers hydrochemistry, contaminant chemistry, microbiology, packaging, laboratory techniques and if necessary formal incident investigation procedures.
  • senior management advice. Working alongside the managing director or owner during the critical opening phase of a crisis. Dealing with regulatory agencies, such as the Food Standards Agency in the UK.
  • technical public relations. Access to authoritative independent experts known to government regulators, in the fields of public health, toxicology and nutrition.
  • public relations support. Advice on PR issues including policy, Q&A. Spokesperson. Press releases.
  • communications support. An incident room at Zenith to handle telephone, fax, email. Website and email addresses available.

After a Crisis:

  • post-mortem and de-brief.
