Dr Ric Horobin, Water & Environment Director, is a PhD and MSc qualified Hydrogeologist with more than 8 years' experience in water resource hydrogeology and shallow geophysics, including project management. He also has specialist knowledge of Chalk hydrogeology. His recent focus has been on resource development and management, due diligence, impact assessments due to groundwater abstraction and borehole remediation. His experience includes managing projects in UK, France, Iceland, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey.
Duncan Finlayson, Operations Consulting Director,MSc qualified earth scientist. Over 25 years' experience and an acknowledged international expert in the development and use of untreated groundwater for bottled water and other food uses, with particular experitise in managing multi-disciplinary projects. Helen Kelleher, Senior Hydrogeologist,MSc qualified Hydrogeologist. 5 years' experience in water resource assessment and management. Project manager of development and management of numerous new and existing bottled water projects in the UK, with particular knowledge of borehole and spring remediation and pipeline distribution cleaning in place systems. Specialist knowledge of thermal water sources in the UK for bottled water and spa use applications, with both management of monitoring systems and resource development. Mark GropiusSenior Groundwater Modeller, Hydrogeologist,
MSc qualified hydrogeologist and geophysicist. More than 8 years of professional experience in hydrogeology and geophysics applied to various hydrogeological and geothermal projects in Germany. Specialised in groundwater modelling and heat transport modelling. Experienced in evaluation of hydrogeological data and conceptual modelling. Long term overseas experience in Palestine/Middle East.
Diploma in Geophysics (MSc equivalent) and MSc in Tropical Hydrogeology.
Dr Stephen Smith, Project Hydrogeologist,is an MSc qualified Hydrogeologist with more than 4 years' experience in geological research projects in the UK and Canada. He holds a PhD in Geology and has specialist knowledge of isotope geochemistry, in particular noble gases. His recent focus has been on groundwater modelling for geothermal schemes and water resources. He has worked in UK, Romania and Pakistan.
Dr Bruce Paterson, Geothermal Project Manager, MSc qualified Hydrogeologist. Extensive experience in geology and geochemistry project management gained in both applied commercial and research environments. Particular knowledge of the application of analytical and isotope geochemistry to a range of practical problems such as sub-surface fluid connectivity, surface erosion, provenancing and large-scale crustal processes. Tony Serhal, Project Engineer/ Hydrogeology,MEng. qualified water engineer with 4 years' experience in water resource management, EIA, and contaminant transport. Technical aspects include pipe hydraulics, geophysical studies, groundwater/surface water sampling, and river/lake hydrology. Extended knowledge in groundwater modelling. Recent experience in Middle East (Lebanon, Qatar, UAE), and is currently located in Dubai, UAE.
Ali Curry, Geologist,BSc qualified Geologist with 2 years’ experience in water resource assessment. Specific experience of cryptosporidium risk assessments, feasibility studies for groundwater resource development projects, as well as surface and groundwater water sampling and analysis of results. Experience of modelling geothermal schemes, with particular interest in regional-scale modelling of open-loop systems and assessing their sustainability. Michael Ophie Oluku, Hydrogeologist/Modeller,MSc Qualified Hydrogeologist. Experience in water resources development in Nigeria and groundwater investigation using shallow geophysical techniques. Also conducted laboratory studies on bacteria and tracer transport through UK Permo-Triassic Sandstone borehole cores.
